Some cats, especially kittens, love to play with sand clumps. What you need to do for these little rascals is to choose products with a granule size of 0.6-4.0 mm and 0.6 – 1.60mm, which are very fine-grained and therefore have the highest absorption and clumping power.

Bentonite cat litter is a product of clay minerals, and clay minerals have in common the ability to absorb water. Bentonite used for cat litter production has a high liquid absorption capacity. The average amount of urine your cat urinates in the litter box is about 25ml, and although this amount causes clumping for bentonite litter, it does not saturate it. Since the clumps you will remove from your litter box will not have reached liquid saturation, they will swell and cause serious damage over time, even if not immediately when they come into contact with water in the toilet.
